About

Our Mission

Sanko Intent Organization is a grassroots movement dedicated to economic empowerment through cooperative economics. Our mission is to transform urban communities into thriving ecosystems of shared wealth, ownership, and self-determination by uniting people, pooling resources, and building cooperative enterprises that serve the needs of the people — by the people, for the people.

Why Cooperative Economics?

Urban communities have long been exploited and underfunded. Traditional economic models prioritize individual success at the expense of collective wellbeing. Cooperative economics flips that script.
We believe in:

  • Shared ownership over outside control

  • Community-led wealth instead of extractive systems

  • Economic justice through collaboration and education

Together, we are not just creating jobs — we’re creating legacy wealth.

From urban neighborhoods to rural towns, our impact is seen in lives uplifted, voices amplified, and legacies reclaimed.

Who Are We

At Sankofa Intent Organization, we are a purpose-driven collective deeply rooted in the principle of “Sankofa” – reaching back to reclaim what was lost to move forward with power. We are a beacon for economic justice and community empowerment, dedicated to fostering cooperative economics as the definitive pathway to building sustainable wealth and holistic well-being in urban communities.

We are a team of passionate advocates, strategic thinkers, and community builders, driven by the profound understanding that “no one is coming to save us” – we must build our own solutions from within. Through comprehensive services like business plan development, crowdfunding support, credit restoration, land acquisition, civic engagement, and independent school development, we provide the practical tools and guidance necessary to turn vision into tangible reality.

Sankofa Intent is more than an organization; we are a movement dedicated to nurturing progressive leadership, developing vibrant enterprise corridors, and inspiring a profound belief in collective power. We are here to empower communities to reclaim their economic destiny, restore their identity, and forge an enduring legacy of shared success for generations to come.
